    Comprehensive Guidelines for the Attendance Award and Bursary Program

    • Purpose:
      • 1.1. Reward the children of members who have excellent academic performance and good conduct.
      • 1.2. To help low-income families and children of members with aspirations to continue their studies.
    • Application qualifications:
      • 2.1. All children of Soo's Association members who are studying in Singapore Polytechnic, Junior College, Primary and Secondary School.
      • 2.2. Parents of applicants have no outstanding monthly contributions; new members must join the club for at least three months.
      • 2.3. You can only choose one of the two, the attendance award and the bursary, and you cannot apply at the same time.
      • 2.4. If the applicant's certificates are not complete, they will not be accepted.
    • Grade requirements for applying for the attendance bonus:
      • 3.1. EDUSAVE CERTIFICATE OF LEARNING issued by the Ministry of Education and the People's Association for students in the first and second grades of primary school ACHIEVEMENT Education Savings Certificate of Academic Achievement Application.
      • 3.2. Grades A or B in the third, fourth, and fifth grades of elementary school, with a total average score of 70 points in the school year.
      • 3.3. Grade A or B in the sixth grade of elementary school, and the total score of the four subjects in the examination results shall not exceed 20 points.
      • 3.4. Class A or B in the middle school group, with a total average score of 70 points in the school year; the score of the O-level examination results in 5 subjects does not exceed 12 points.
      • 3.5.N courses rank A or B, and the total average score of the school year is 70 points.
      • 3.6. Junior College: Grade A or B in practice, with 2 A and 2 B or above in 5 subjects.
      • 3.7. Faculty of Science and Technology: Class A or B, depending on the elective subjects, determined by the selection panel.
    • Requirements for applying for bursaries: applicants must pass the academic record, have a second-class conduct or above, and the total monthly family income shall not exceed SGD3,500, or per capita income not exceeding SGD850 per month.
    • Application procedure and date: The application must be in the form prescribed by the Association, filled out clearly, and submitted to the Association together with the official copies of the following documents for inspection.
      • 5.1. The applicant's Singapore Resident Identity Card.
      • 5.2. Applicants for bursaries must submit their parents' salary slips and proof of monthly contributions to the provident fund of self-employed persons.
      • 5.3. Copies of last year's school year results certificate. If you come across the HKCEE, the results of the HKCEE should prevail instead of the school results. Institute of Technology The latest annual results shall prevail.
    • Examination and approval: Study incentives and bursaries will be reviewed and decided by the selection team appointed by the Executive Supervisory Committee. Applicants must not raise objections.
    • Awarding date: The selection team will select a date, hold an award ceremony, and notify each award winner in writing. Winners must attend the award ceremony in person to show respect, unless they have special reasons and submit a written request for leave.
    • The same amount of attendance bonus and bursary is:
      • 8.1. SGD300 per person for primary school group;
      • 8.2. SGD400 per person for the middle school group;
      • 8.3. SGD600 per person for junior college and polytechnic groups;
    • Implementation: This application form will be approved at the 6th joint meeting of the 64th Executive Supervisory Committee and the 47th Mutual Benefit Council on November 25, 2021.
    • Amendments: If there are deficiencies in the above detailed rules, they can be amended at the joint meeting of the Executive Supervisory Committee and Mutual Benefit Council.
