The Singapore Soh Clan Association and the Pahang Soh Clan Ancestral Hall have a strong foundation of friendship. Before the pandemic, the two associations frequently interacted, and the members considered each other as family, sharing a common ancestry. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, association activities have been frozen for over three years, and there has been no exchange visits with overseas clan members. With the easing of pandemic measures, our association responded to the invitation from the Pahang Soh Clan Ancestral Hall and attended the 43rd-anniversary celebration dinner on August 19th. This marked our association's first organized participation in overseas Soh Clan activities since the pandemic. On the afternoon of the 19th, the delegation visited the Pahang Soh Clan Ancestral Hall and received warm hospitality from the Pahang Soh Clan members. The reunion, after a four-year hiatus, led to countless heartfelt conversations between members of the two associations. In the evening, the delegation attended the anniversary dinner, where representatives from the Malaysia Soh Clan Federation, Klang Soh Clan Association, Malacca Soh Clan Association, Negeri Sembilan Soh Clan Association, Penang Lushantang Soh Lian Ancestral Hall, and Johor Soh Hock Lian Ancestral Hall were also present. On the morning of the 20th, arranged by the Pahang Sh Clan members, our delegation visited the Pahang Treasure Bodhi Forest (Tibetan Buddhist monastery) and later toured the Three Mothers Goodwill Old Folks Home. Vice President Mr. Guo Quan Zong generously donated MYR 50,000 on behalf of his family, while other attendees contributed dry rations.
