2025 Dragon Boat Festival cum Mother’s & Father’s Day Celebration

Soh Clan Association holds Dragon Boat Festival cum Parents’ Day Celebration.

To promote traditional Chinese culture and express respect and gratitude to elders, the Soh Clan Association held a grand “Parents’ Day and Dragon Boat Festival Celebration” at the association hall from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 15, 2025. More than forty clan members and their families enthusiastically participated in the event, The atmosphere was lively, filled with warmth and joy.

The venue was meticulously decorated, featuring a lavish buffet, fragrant and delicious zongzi (rice dumplings), and birthday cakes to treat all guests, reflecting the Association’s care and regard for its members. To enhance the festive spirit, a karaoke session and fun games were organized. Members participated enthusiastically, filling the air with laughter as young and old enjoyed themselves together, creating a heartwarming and touching scene.

During the event, President Zhang Jiang PBM delivered a speech. He stated, “Today, we have gathered here to celebrate the annual Parents’ Day and the Dragon Boat Festival together. On this day filled with filial piety and gratitude, I would like to extend, on behalf of the Soh Clan Association, my most sincere greetings and festive blessings to all our clan members!”

President Zhang Jiang noted that Parents’ Day is a significant occasion for expressing filial piety and gratitude for our parents’ nurturing care, while the Dragon Boat Festival is an important traditional festival of the Chinese nation that has been passed down for thousands of years, symbolizing our cultural roots and national spirit. Celebrating these two festivals together not only demonstrates respect for traditional culture but also reflects the deep familial bonds and spirit of unity among the Su clan members.

He also extended special thanks to all the members of the Executive and Supervisory Committees and the Board of Directors who worked tirelessly to prepare for the event. It is precisely their selfless dedication that has enabled the Association’s activities to continuously improve, becoming increasingly heartwarming and vibrant.
