2024 Mid-Autumn Festival
In the afternoon of 14th September, members gathered together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. The organising committee arrived at the hall early and made elaborate arrangements and preparations.
At 4.30pm, members arrived with their children at the clubhouse one after another. The scene was joyous as everyone chatted and got to know each other. For many members, this was the first time they came to the clubhouse, and they expressed their delight and anticipation.
The game session was most enjoyed by the members. Parents and children worked together and focused on making lanterns, enhancing parent-child relationship. The balloon modelling session attracted many children, who had a lot of fun creating various interesting shapes with colourful balloons. The riddle-guessing and picture-guessing games were also entertaining, and the lucky ones who answered the riddles correctly won exquisite gifts. The hall was filled with laughter. During the pomelo peeling competition, the participants were engrossed while the audience enthusiastically cheered them on.
In the celebration session for the attendees whose birthdays were in the same month, everyone lit the birthday candles together, sang the birthday song in unison and wished them a happy birthday, and the warm blessings made people feel more warm and fuzzy.
The lucky draw session brought the event to a climax, with sighs of relief and excitement of winning filled with tension and anticipation.
The evening buffet was sumptuous. Everyone enjoyed ice cream, durian and mooncakes, immersing in the atmosphere of the festive season. The event not only gave the younger generation a deeper understanding of traditional festivals, but also enhanced their sense of belonging to the Association and promoted deep ties among members.
At this time of reunion, let us all wish that next year’s Mid-Autumn Festival will be even more wonderful, and we look forward to more families participating in it and passing on our culture and clan friendship together.
